Charm City

Synopsis

Charm City follows the exploits of three friends living in Baltimore City. Jay, Rodey and Sean have survived the harsh streets of Baltimore, and are trying to build more reputable lives for themselves by getting away from criminal activities. As a step in the right direction, they now own and operate a Club, only to have the City threaten to shut it down, putting them out of business.

The three friends however, have not completely refrained from some of their old habits. Upon hearing that one of their former partner, a drug dealer, was released from prison, and is now “disrespecting them”, Jay, Rodey and Sean devised a scheme to recoup the money he owes them. The victims’ untimely death after the robbery leaves the two wondering whether his death was a direct repercussion of their activity. They immediately found out the answer, when they realize that the money they took, belonged to Zeke, a notorious drug dealer, who wants his money returned. After an attempt on Jay’s life, they knew immediately that they had to come up with a plan to thwart Zeke before he kills them. Using their brains instead of their guns, they concoct a sophisticated scheme to take down Zeke. To put their plan into action they manipulate the police by steadily feeding them information about Zeke’s activities. Acting on a tip, the police apprehend one of Zeke’s henchmen, who provided valuable details that could put Zeke away for life.

Sean the “womanizer”, is also going through a dilemma of his own, when a startling revelation by an old acquaintance has a sobering effect on him. Sean finally comes face to face with the consequences of promiscuity.

Charm City explores the friendship and loyalty that bound these three friends as they battle the daily obstacles and socio-economic issue facing them daily.
